Well I just found out about these today, gonna get myself a set and save about 80lbs on my car, again LOL, I'm REALLY going to need to get this thing weighed soon flex-a-form.com/products.aspeven a nice 1yr warranty The leaf springs at 8lbs each, and traditional ones at 45lbs each. These were actually used on I think almost all generations of the vettes, and saved alot of unsprung weight, "Less weight. The C4 Corvette's composite front leaf weighed 1/3 as much as the pair of conventional coil springs it would replace." Transverse Leafsprings on an unequal length double wishbone suspension You can see them here if you look close Once again I'll be using a little 'vette technology, maybe I should just buy already? By the end of this summer hopefully I'll have vette wheels, brakes, and spindles designed for them. lol Too bad I'm staying solid axle, lol, not quite the same. Plenty of S10 guys do rear Vette IRS swaps, including guys that are bagged tho. "In addition to the Corvette, a composite transverse leaf spring has been used on the Volvo 960, and on the first generation GM W platform cars. Many small European cars such as the Fiat 128 used transverse steel springs in similar fashion." Wikipedia on it en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corvette_leaf_springs

Ordered them this morning, should have them on my car by next weekend, along with a rollpan! Yay for 100+lbs of weight reduction, a sexy rear bumper, and custom racing springs!
I might have to relocate the battery to the rear of the cab, to help the rear from getting too light, too.
